View Annotation Features
print icon

If the sequence file contains annotation information, the annotated features and the feature list are displayed by default. The user can toggle on or off all Features, a Feature type, or a particular Feature.

When a particular feature is selected either on the scene or in the feature panel, the feature will be highlighted in all maps and the feature panel. When the mouse is placed over the feature on the scene, the feature properties, such as name, type, location, strand, directionality, length, translation (if applicable), and description (if available), are displayed.

Toggle Off / Toggle On All Features

Unchecking the checkmark next to Features in Display Setting will toggle off all annotation features. All annotation features are no longer displayed in all maps, but there are no changes in features' visibility settings.

Clicking “Features” again will toggle on all annotation features. All annotation features are now displayed as per their visibility settings.

Toggle Off / Toggle On A Feature Type

A given feature type (e.g. CDS) can be toggled off by deselecting a given feature type in the feature list. All annotation features of the given type are no longer displayed on the map view or in the feature list.

The given feature type can be toggled on by selecting the given feature type in the feature list. All annotation features of the given type are now displayed on the map view and in the feature list.

Toggle Off / Toggle On A Particular Feature

A particular annotation feature can be toggled off by selecting “Hide” in the feature panel. The Feature is no longer displayed on the scene. If it was selected on the scene, then it (and sequence fragment) becomes deselected. The feature is still shown in the feature list.

A particular annotation feature can be toggled on by selecting “Show” in the feature panel. The selected feature is now displayed on the scene and marked as ‘visible’ in the feature list.
