Projects can be created and edited by any user who has been granted the ‘can lead projects’ privilege by an administrator. Once a project has been created and shared, it can only be edited by the owner of the project however anyone with write access can add notebooks and experiments to it.

To create a new project:

1. Click on the NEW project button in the left-hand navigation bar next to Projects.  If you don’t see the green button, it means you do not have the proper permission to create projects. Please contact your ELN admin to obtain the "Can lead projects" privilege.
2. Name your project, add a description, and select any groups you want to share the project with (groups can be added after project creation as well).
3. Select create and you will be taken directly to the project page.

Now that the project has been created, you can share it with individuals and with groups.
