Sequence Alignment

The Alignment function is designed to compare sequencing results against the target sequence. The acceptable sequencing file formats are .ab1 format and .scf format.

 

  1. Select the sequence tab that will be used as the target sequence
  2. Select ACTIONS -> Alignment, this will create a new alignment tab

  1. In the newly opened Alignment tab, click the “IMPORT” button to upload sequencing file(s). Multiple files can be uploaded by drag & drop or using Choose File function.

 

If the uploaded file is not a supported format, there will be an error message.

 

  1. After the sequencing file(s) are uploaded, the target sequence is displayed on the top left panel, the sequencing information is displayed on the bottom left panel. The bases that don’t match the target sequence are highlighted in a light red box. The sequence trace of uploaded sequence(s) (chromatogram) and the quality score can be turned on/off by clicking the chromatogram icon and score icon.
