The BioDrive tool is available in the Arxspan system as the BioDrive Editor field in the workflow. A custom experiment type should be set up to use this tool. If you don’t see this experiment type when you try to create a new experiment, please contact your ELN administrator.
- Create a new experiment and select the experiment type that contains the BioDrive tool. Please contact your ELN administrator for the specific experiment type name created in your company.
- In the new experiment, you will see a field called “BioDrive Editor”. When you place the mouse over it, you will see the message “Click here to launch BioDrive editor”. Click the field once with the left mouse key to launch the editor in a popup window.
Note: We recommend collapsing the left navigation bar, by pressing the arrow sign as shown below, before opening the editor. This will provide a better view for the editor.
- Please refer to the BioDrive User Guide on how to use the editor tool. The tool can be closed by clicking the “X” on the top right corner of the window. Any changes made in the editor will be saved in the tool.
- When the experiment is saved, a history revision will be created. The BioDrive experiment saved in the history revision can be viewed and exported, but can’t be changed. Only the BioDrive experiment in the current version can be updated.
