Coming in the next two weeks:

New Features

  • Our new biology editor tool BioDrive will be available within the ELN to add to custom experiments
  • A new setting that allows the designated user to download the contents of a notebook's experiments
    • This feature is controlled in the administrative panel
    • This feature exports PDF versions of experiments
  • A new set of user permissions will be added to the Search module
    • There will be three options (None, User, Admin) to replace the previous selections of Yes and No
      • The Admin level permission will look exactly as Search looks today
        • Adding a feature that allows the admin to make private searches public
      • The User level permission hides the field lists by default and removes the user's ability to create or modify global saved searches. These users can only copy saved searches and generate private searches
      • The None level permission does not display the Search option to the user
  • An upgrade to the rich text field in the attachments and notes tables in all ELN experiment types
  • Registration UI updates will be coming out over the next month. These will be cosmetic and not affect any existing functionality
  • A feature that will allow Registrars to update registration field names in the custom fields area
  • A new registration option to allow a Registrar to select a saved mapping template as the default template for a specified registration group
    • Each custom registration group can have a single designated default template
    • This template will auto-select and automap when users upload bulk registration files to the specified field group
  • New filter options will be added to the admin approval queue in registration to allow for sorting and filtering of records awaiting approval
