Advanced Search History function allows you to check how many different types of searches in Advanced Search functionality each user has made. The number of times searches have been run for each type of search can be filtered by user, user group, and date. The search result can be exported as a CSV report.
The list of users and groups you can see in Advanced Search History depends on your account privileges. Regular users can only see the users and groups that are visible to them. Administrators can see the search history of all users.
- Press “Advance Search History” under the Tools tab on the left navigation bar. On the Advanced Search History page, the number of searches for each user are listed in three distinguished types: Structure Searches, Text Searches, and Multi Parameter Searches. In the last column of the table, you can see the Total Searches number for each user.
Advanced Searched History can be filtered in multiple ways.
- Filter Advanced Search History by User
a. Select the filter option next to the User’s Name column with a single click and uncheck the "Select All" checkbox. Select the user name in the dropdown by marking the checkbox before the user’s name.
b. You can also search for the user in the dropdown by typing the first letters of the name in the Search field.
c. Click the “Filter” to get results or click the "Clear" button to clear your filter.
- Filter Advanced Search History by Group
a. Make a single click on the Group Filter field above the table.
b. Choose a specific group by marking/ticking the checkbox next to the group name in the dropdown.
c. You can also look for a specific group by typing the first letters of its name into the white field. The results will automatically accrue when you click somewhere on the displayed table.
Note: For the group filtering, Admins can see all groups. Regular users can only see groups that are visible to them.
- Filter Advanced Search History by a Time Frame
a. Pick the calendar icon in the Start Date field and select the date. Proceed the same with the End Date field (you can also leave it blank).
b. After selecting the Start Date, the End Date, or both, the system immediately generates results in the table.
- For Structure Searches, Text Searches, Multi Parameter Searches, and Total Searches, the search result can be filtered by the number of the searches that have been run.
a. Select the filter option next to the search type name (the column header), and the system will display a white box with a dropdown and a typing field.
b. Select an attribute from the dropdown. The available options are Equal, Greater Than, Greater Than Or Equal, Less Than, Less Than Or Equal, or Not Equal.
c. Enter the value you are looking for in the field below the dropdown. You can also use the up and down arrow to change the value.
d. Press the “Filter” button to get the results or the “Clear” button to delete the filter.
- To generate a CSV report, press the “Export As CSV” field on the left corner, below the Advanced Search History table.
