Experiments can be signed/closed by the experiment owner only, however, if the experiment owner is no longer with the company, the system admin can close the user's experiments using the "Not Pursed" option. Experiment owners are also able to close experiments they wish to abandon as "Not Pursed".

Note: The "Not Pursued" button is only available in the experiment view.

1. Open the experiment in the experiment view, press the "Not Pursued" button at the bottom of the experiment page

2. If a witness is selected, the witness will receive a notification to witness it. If there is no need for a witness, please select the "No Witness" option.

3. As shown below, the user/admin will be required to enter a reason that the experiment is being closed as 'Not Pursued,' as well as to check the checkbox to verify that the 'Not Pursued' process is understood.

4. Click the "Sign" button to close the experiment.
