If the live edit host file is not installed or is not installed properly, the user will get a "Live Edit Error" when the browser extension is installed and turned on. 

 

To check the host file on Windows Computer

1. Open a File Explorer window by selecting it from the taskbar, by selecting Start -> Windows System -> File Explorer, or by pressing the Windows logo key + E on your keyboard

   

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2. Copy and Paste "Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features" to the path window

3. Check if both .NET and "LiveEditHostConsoleApp" are listed.
