In registration, the "Configure Access" option is selected by default. Configuring access contains both individual entity registration permission, bulk registration permission, and delete permission. These permissions can be provided at the individual or group level, it is not necessary or recommended to enable permissions at both levels. The checkbox in the column headers will allow you to select all users/groups in a row. This allows the quick addition of company-wide permissions. In registration, the delete function is a permanent database deletion; therefore, the blanket adoption of this setting is not enabled in the UI. It is recommended that anyone given such permission has sufficient training and understanding of the system to prevent irreversible harm to your data.
- Add: This permission allows a user to create a new entity in this registration group. This is required to create both Parents and Children. This option does NOT require view access to be used.
- View: This option allows a user to view the entities created in this registration group, including parents and children.
- Edit: This option allows a user to modify existing records. This must be paired with View access for the user to find records to edit. This does NOT require the ability to create entities in the registration group.
- Delete: This option allows a user to delete an entity created, which applies to parents and children. This must be paired with View access to find records to remove. NOTE: It is strongly recommended that the least number of people necessary be given this permission as these records are permanently deleted from the registration database.
- Bulk Add: This allows users to create entities in bulk.
- Bulk Edit: This allows users to modify existing records in bulk. NOTE: Any actions taken using this permission are not reversible. This setting should only be provided to users with extensive system knowledge. You have been warned.
- Bulk Delete: This allows a user to remove records in bulk by rolling back an upload. This setting should only be provided to users who are familiar with the system and well-trained since it allows the user to roll back ANY upload not just their own. This setting is a permanent delete and cannot be undone.
- Approve: This option allows a user or group to approve records from the review queue. This should be paired with the Review Queue feature described in H.3
