A user must have bulk permissions to do bulk registration. Please see the “Configure Access Permission to Registration Group” user guide for more clarification on the bulk permissions.
The bulk update option allows anyone with permission to modify fields in existing records in bulk. IMPORTANT: Once records are updated in this manner the changes CANNOT be undone. It is highly recommended that anyone with this permission be well-trained before using the system to prevent irreversible changes from being introduced.
- Select Bulk Update from the left navigation bar. Select the registration group to be updated.
- Upload your file to begin the mapping process. The system accepts CSV, Excel, and SDF file extensions. NOTE: SDF requires the group to contain exactly 1 structure field.
- You must select a lookup option to identify the records to be updated. You have three acceptable criteria Registration ID, Backend ID, and Identity field(s). You need only supply a single option to complete this process. NOTE: If using the identity option to find records you must supply ALL identity fields for the group, meaning if there is more than one all must be mapped.
- The system will map any/all fields where the field headers are an exact match for an existing field in the registration configuration. Any mismatching fields can be manually matched. NOTE: You cannot modify identity fields in an entity, no exceptions.
- OPTIONAL. You can utilize or create a new saved template to automatically map fields to be updated.
- You can use the link in the completed page to navigate to the Bulk Registration Log page and review your updates.
