In this section, we will cover settings unique to specific data types. This section only covers data types with settings or properties unique to them, if a data type is not listed it does not have any properties specific to it. These data types are not application-specific unless otherwise specified and can be used by any/all allowed applications.

1. Registration Linking Data Type
   1. Configuration
      1. When adding this data type to any allowed application you must configure it to link to specific registration groups that have already been created.
      2. The registration group(s) in question must already exist and be saved to be added to a linking field.
      3. The field will only search the registration ID field in the type-ahead for the groups selected
   2. Use
      1. When a user interacts with this field the field will operate as a type ahead, searching for an entity by registration ID.
      2. Once saved this link becomes clickable and will navigate to the linked item.
   3. Search

This field is searchable and able to be displayed in the registration search results table.

2. ELN Linking
   1. When adding this field to a registration group a special setting will be available ELN to Registration Link. This option allows the ELN to automatically insert a link into the record when creating the registration entry from the ELN. Pro Tip: Always set this field to allow multiple values to allow multiple links to be added

3. BioDrive
   1. This data type does NOT allow multiple tabs within the editing window in registration. This is in contrast to workflow and custom experiments where multiple tabs within the editing window are allowed.
      1. I can have many BioDrive fields in a registration entity but only one tab per field

4. Chemistry Canvas
   1. This data type will automatically generate specific information about a structure drawn within the window in the registration module ONLY
      1. This includes
         1. IUPAC Name
         2. Formula
         3. SMILES
         4. Molecular weight
         5. Exact mass
   2. This data type has two unique settings
      1. Structure: This setting sets the canvas size to be a fixed size optimized for individual structures. This is the most common option for Registration.
      2. Reaction: This setting sets the canvas size to maximize the width of the application (work request, ELN page, etc.). This is the most common option for use in the ELN.

5. Stoichiometry Grid
   1. This data type is not available in the registration.

6. Co-Author
   1. This data type does nothing in the registration module.
