Using Application Templates

  1. Chemistry ELN Configurations

A user can access any application template that they have been given access to. This allows the user to create a new experiment. For the ELN it is highly recommended to provide add/view/and edit access to all experiment types that a user will be expected to create, update, and save. This is not unique to chemistry and can be applied to any template created. A sample configuration of what a chemistry ELN page can look like

  1. Registration Integration

When creating an experiment in the ELN containing a Stoichiometry data type with a chemistry canvas data type AND if you have access to a registration group containing a chemistry canvas field a new option will display in the ELN. This register option allows you to register a structure directly from your stoichiometry grid.

The system will prepopulate the structure from the stoichiometry row you register. If configured correctly a link to the ELN you are currently registering from will be inserted automatically into the new reg record as well The registration ID will also be inserted into the table

  1. Allchemy Integration

When the Allchemy integration is active in the ELN and configured to be used the below workflow will be available to users with access to that experiment option.

Add a reaction or structure to the ELN. This will display the Allchemy option on the page

Select an operation you wish to perform in the Allchemy product. NOTE: there is a subset of functions allowed, this list we be determined by you licence and package

Select a structure(s) to send to perform the operation requested. Once submitted a new tab will open in your browser to take you to the Allchemy product to complete the actions you have begun in the ELN.
