1. Find an inventory item that is the same object type as the items you want to import and has all the fields you want to include in the import file.

An example is shown below. The object type of this inventory item is Cell Line.

2. Open Arxspan Search by clicking the “Search” icon on the top right corner on the dashboard page.

3. After the search page is loaded, look for Inventory on the left navigation bar. Find the fields of the inventory item sample you found in step 1 and click on fields to add them as search criteria. After all search criteria are added, click “Advanced Filters” to add filter settings below the search criteria. Set criteria to filter the search result and click “Submit Search” to perform the search.

4. In the search result, the column is arranged in the same order as that of the search criteria are added to the search. Select “Download as Excel File” and press “Go”. 

5. The result is saved in the “Download” folder as an excel file. This file can be used as the template to create a file to be used in inventory import.
