Before you can use the following process to sign and close ELN entries, you must obtain a digital token from Trans Sped and SAFE Identity. If you have not completed this process, please reach out to your manager or [email protected] to complete the process.
- When signing and closing an ELN entry, you will first be given an option to either sign and keep open or sign and close your work (1), select a witness (2), and verify your work (3). Once you have completed your selections, you can proceed to the sign phase (4).
- If this is the first time you sign from your current browser, the system will prompt you to sign in to your Trans Sped account. You have the option to have the system remember your Trans Sped login so that you can skip straight to the last step the next time you sign in (1). If you close your browser or change computers you will need to perform these steps again. Select your options and select next to continue (2).
- If you have signed on previously, you will be sent to the following screen instead of step 2. Verify the name displayed is yours (1). If it is not, there is an option to switch your user (2). If the correct name is displayed, select login (3) and skip to step 6.
- On the next screen, enter your phone number COUNTRY CODE FIRST (1). If you do not include your country code, the system will reject your entry. This must be the same phone number provided to Trans Sped when you were issued a digital credential. You must also enter your signature password, this would have been created during the certificate issuance process (2). Select login (3).
- The next screen will prompt you to enter a one-time passcode (OTP) texted to you at the number from the previous step or in the downloadable app available from the android and Apple store (1). The system has a reference value for you to match to the code provided in your phone (2). This code expires in 3 minutes, so do not complete the previous step until you have the device in hand or nearby. If your code does expire, there is an option to resend the code to your device (3). Verify it is a new code using the reference value provided. Select next to continue (4).
- Once you have completed the sign on option, you will be prompted to enter an OTP (1) and your password (2). The OTP will be sent to the mobile number provided when completing your digital certificate issuance process. Select submit when completed (3).
- You will be redirected to a loading screen while the system completes the signature process. This page will load the signed PDF once it is completed.
